How I sell every day using automated sales funnels

Within my business, I have multiple sales funnels set up so that I’m able to sell every day without actually having to show up. These funnels work for me in the background so that I can sell my offers on autopilot. In this episode, I’m sharing these automated sales funnels with you so that you can sell your offers every day, without having to actively show up!

1. The Tripwire Funnel

When someone signs up for one of my lead magnets, they’re taken to what’s called a ‘Tripwire Page’. Typically, a tripwire is a discounted one-time offer that can only be accessed on that page, or for a limited amount of time. Often, tripwires are products that you usually sell on your website, but discounted to around $9-$57 exclusively to those who access the tripwire page.

When someone opts in for my lead magnet, they’re then presented with the opportunity to purchase one of my offers at a discounted rate. I’m not going to go into exactly what my tripwire is because I’m in the process of changing and experimenting with a few things, but my most popular tripwire is currently $37 and it performs pretty well!

At the moment, my tripwire is converting at around 30%. This means that I am turning 30% of the people who sign up for my free lead magnet into paying customers, instantly!

That is a huge win because it means that I’m building my list with qualified leads and  paying customers who are likely to purchase from me again… and I am actually making daily sales from this.

HOW TO SET UP A TRIPWIRE FUNNEL

1. Create a lead magnet that your ideal client wants & needs

You want to get as many people as possible to download this because this is the start of your funnel and if people aren’t opting in for this, you aren’t going to get the traffic you need for this to work. So be intentional with what you create.

2. Create a low-ticket offer that relates to your lead magnet

This could be a masterclass, mini-course, template bundle there are so many different types of low-ticket offers you could create! If you want help creating your first digital product, make sure to sign up for my FREE Low-Ticket Offer Starter Kit!

3. Price your tripwire offer

The reason tripwires are so effective is because they're usually highly discounted for a limited amount of time. The best-performing tripwires tend to be priced anywhere from $9 - $57 but you know your business best so don’t be afraid to experiment!

4. Create your sales & checkout pages

Once you have the offer created, then you’ll need to create your sales page and checkout. And on the tripwire page, you’ll want to do 3 things:

  1. Thank your subscriber for signing up to your lead magnet & let them know it's on the way to their inbox

  2. Let them know that you have a special offer available for them

  3. Introduce your offer, the discount & lead into your sales page

Then you can set it up so that your lead magnet automatically redirects to your tripwire page and the final step is to promote the lead magnet and watch as passive sales from your tripwire role in.

 
 

2. Email welcome sequence

The second funnel I have set up is my email welcome sequence. When someone opts in for my lead magnet, they are automatically entered into a sequence of emails, sent out over the period of a few weeks, where I’m nurturing them, providing value and then inviting them to take the next step by enrolling in my offer.

So even if someone doesn’t purchase my tripwire, I still have the opportunity to convert them with this next step and I’m building that know, like and trust first before I pitch to them again.

But (like we discussed in the previous episode) I’m also using soft sales techniques within these emails before I hard pitch my offer. Because of this, they already know about the offer, they’ve already seen what I’ve done for my clients and students and they’re already aware of how this offer could help them and so they’re pretty warmed up before I get to the pitch.

If your new subscribers are opting into your lead magnet and then they’re just being added to your regular weekly emails, you are missing out on a huge opportunity to really nurture those new subscribers, really show them what you’re all about and then give them the opportunity to work with you

They have signed up to your lead magnet for a reason… because they’re struggling with the thing that lead magnet is going to help them overcome… what you help your ideal clients with… So the likelihood is that they are going to want what you have to offer, but they need a little warming up first and with a welcome sequence, you can easily do that and then it’s working for you on autopilot for every new subscriber you get.
