Should you lower your prices?

I’ve always felt some type of way about business coaches telling their clients (and every other business owner in the online space) that if they want to make more money, all they have to do is raise their prices.

While there definitely are circumstances where it makes sense, and it’s necessary to raise your prices, it’s often presented as the solution to every problem and in a lot of cases, it doesn’t actually make sense to do so.

Of course there are times when you should definitely raise your prices, such as if you’ve been undercharging or you’ve added more deliverables or you’ve perfected your process and your clients are getting incredible results… But if you’re just blindly raising your prices without considering why you’re pricing what you’re pricing, it could actually be doing more harm to your business than good.

As you know, this podcast is all about building a business that feels good to YOU. And in this episode, we are going to talk about what it means to break free from the industry standards and find a pricing strategy that truly resonates with your values.

The guest that I am speaking to today decided that what aligned with her values, and what made the most sense for her business was actually to lower her prices… in fact, she more than halved them!
